While this is a hard sale for me, it's time to offer Weasley to a herd that can use him for than we can.
Weasley was a buck I hadn't intended to keep, but we are so glad we did. He has produced lovely daughters and crossed with a number of dam lines for us. His dam, GCH (pending) RDR Showtime Minerva 4*M EX91 is a doe I had actually wanted to purchase a maternal brother of but things worked out to purchase her as a three year old so we jumped at the opportunity. When we saw Minerva's first kids and second freshening udder, we knew we wanted a buck from her!
Weasley's kids are long, upstanding and angular. We appreciate the general appearance of his kids, and the mammary system we have seen was well attached, and correct in the udder floor. My biggest complaint is I want to see rump width on daughters to be more extremely wide.
Weasley had a traumatic health event as a kid. With this, we have noticed he is slightly more sensitive to selenium and/or zinc defecencies. With typical supplements 2-3 times a year just like the rest of our bucks, he has had no issues with fertility. We just notice he gets the typical skin condition from this when not supplemented appropriately.
Weasley is not a buck that should be housed with other bucks. He needs to live alone or with in an adjacent pen with a strong fence. Weasley does extremely well walking on a collar and around does, but to keep him safe this is what we recommend in his new home. We choose to house most of our bucks this way, so our mature bucks do best living alone.
We are extremely selective when it comes to placing mature animals, so please keep these notes in mind when contacting us to inquire about Weasley. We want to see him successful in his next home, and his next owner's be happy with what he produces. We would like 20 straws of semen back from Weasley per our sales policy.
